By the way, I only mentioned it in passing in my post but now that you, Tzemach Atlas, have picked up on it as a major theme... let's do talk about Jakey and his nesius. Can there be more of a clear sign that the meshichist establishment (contradiction in terms?) has broken ties with the Rebbe of the seventh generation than the fact that Jakey is encouraged by a 770 full of enablers to darshen eigene sichos from the bima in the middle of davening. Yes, I know, sometimes they stick Majeski or Charitonov and the like up there. But they just chazer a sicho point for point. Jakey gets up there and says his own Toras. This brazen act of pirud that once upon a time would have gotten somebody hung from a ceiling fan by the piatehs went completely unnoticed for some time until someone finally asked the community elected gabai Menachem N. Gerlitzky about the propriety of a chosid darshening like that in the Rebbe's shul, to which Menachem N. Gerlitzky responded, "It was very good. It's like he said what the Rebbe would have said if he would be here." Of course, this admission also went unnoticed and did not prevent Menachem N. Gerlitzky from announcing that next Shabbos the 1:00 pm farbrengen mit'n Rebbe melech hamoshiach shlita. Jakey is no proster yechi-nik. He is the true face of eighth generation Moshiach-is-our-nosi, tut altz vos er vilt ideology.

The subject of Jakey is an important one that must not be ignored. Jakey isn't the core of the problem, but scratching around where it stinks may lead us to the neveilo. Jakey's main chet is not that he is a "brazen nifrod" (heck, er gloibt nisht afileh in Eibershter'n b'chlal) it's his weak moral fiber (the being a nifrod and a kofer just allows him to be a grober yung without compunction). Go do your research and find out who was the one to first cross the line and openly speak about sexuality (even using the word itself) in front of CH veiber and meidelech (!) at the Beis Medrash l'Noshim in 770. That layer of sensitivity has now unfortunately been stripped away. But go find out who was the Nachshon in dem inyon. Who farbrengs with teenaged bocherim about masturbation and looking at other bocherim in the mikveh. Who publicly invokes imagery of being motzi zera l'vatola into a towel and graphically describes the consistency and color of semen. I am not saying this for shock value. I am saying this to be honest about something that is shocking. If you doubt my report, go ask around. Sensitive subjects that were once reserved for the privacy of a hushed meeting between bocher and mashpia have been theatricized for public consumption and the line between frankness and exploitivness has been perhaps forever blurred for a generation. Jakey is a maskil cut from the cloth of a Zalman Schecter only he doesn't need to split off from Lubavitch to create his own cult. He has done it within our very own hallowed halls!
